Skiathos boat trips to Skopelos

'Sail the Day' dailly boat trips from Skiathos to Skopelos (private/group). We depart in the morning from Skiathos New Port and stop for swimming at Arkos, a nearby island. We open the sails and sail towards Dasia, a lush islet close to Skopelos, for snorkelling in a cave. Next we explore the beautiful beaches of the movie "Mamma Mia". We drop anchor at one of them and have lunch on the boat. We open the sails again and just before our return to Skiathos, we have our last stop at Tsougria, a verdant island in the southeast of Skiathos to enjoy the beautiful sunset. During this trip, we can stop at Elios, a small port of Skopelos, and call a taxi to take you to the east side of the island to see the Mamma Mia church. It is one hour to go, stay and return.

Sailing excursions around Skiathos

"Sail the day" These sailing excursions are for private chartering and give you the opportunity to sail around Skiathos. We depart in the morning from Skiathos New Port and stop for swimming at Arkos, a nearby island. We open the sails and sail towards Lalaria, in the northern part of Skiathos. Next we explore some of the most beautiful beaches on the west side of the island. From there, we sail towards Katigiorgis, a fishing village on the Pelion Peninsula, just opposite the south-western part of Skiathos. We visit one of the local taverns by the sea and taste fine traditional dishes and flavours. We open the sails again and just before our return to Skiathos, we have our last stop at Tsougria, a verdant island in the southeast of Skiathos to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

Sailing Skopelos Alonnisos

This is a 2-day (or more) private trip. We set off in the morning of Day 1 from Skiathos New Port and return in the evening of Day 2. We explore some of the most amazing areas of Skopelos and Alonnisos including the National Marine Park of Alonnisos currently the largest protected marine area in Europe. Around Alonnisos and the smaller islands, the endangered monk seal (monachus-monachus) finds shelter, together with many other rare species of flora and fauna (more than 300 species of fish and 80 species of birds). Alonnisos is the place we will be spending the night. It is considered the ideal resort for combining peaceful holidays with natural living. Chora, the old capital of Alonnisos, is a place you should not miss visiting! It is a quaint little village amphitheatrically built on the slopes of a hill with a panoramic breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea.

Sailing Sporades Islands in Greece

This is a multi-day private sailing cruise that brings you the best of everything the Sporades Islands have to offer. Sailing holidays allow you to explore some of the most stunning areas, approach any place you wish and spend your nights and days in the natural million-star hotel!

Seasickness is highly unlikely to occur while sailing, as it is generally a much smoother ride than you get on a powerboat or a catamaran. Sailing boats are more stable as the sails stabilize the boat and keep it from rolling and pitching. We sail in comparatively sheltered/protected waters, where conditions are quite favourable for boating. We don’t recommend Dramamines as they will make you feel drowsy.

All trips are subject to the Captain’s approval of the weather and water conditions. This includes winds over a force 6 and active thunderstorms in the local area. The main issue is rain. In case of rain, the trip is cancelled. If the trip is cancelled, we will attempt to reschedule the trip on another day. If this is not possible and you have either paid a deposit or the total amount, a full refund will be made.

Yes we are. We are passionate about sailing so sailng is the main part of 'Sail the Day' experience. However it all depends on the weather.

The permit of the boat allows the accommodation of up to 12 guests. For your comfort, the number is limited to 8-10 guests. The full capacity of the boat is used only for the private charter of large groups.

This kind of holiday is not suitable for people with serious health problems. Guests with physical disabilities may find this kind of holiday over-demanding. In any case, the responsibility lies with the guest.

We have had passengers of all ages on board. However, this type of holiday is not suitable for babies and young children under the age of 7. We recommend a private charter if your group includes babies or young children.

Though we cannot guarantee a dolphin sighting, it is quite likely to see them. The Sporades Islands offer excellent viewing opportunities of dolphins. Keep a lookout for them. You never know what you might see on any given day!

Beachwear or swimwear is fine. On cooler days, a light jacket or a windbreaker is recommended. Barefoot is the best way to go on the board. Other items you might need include sunscreen (oil-free), sunglasses, hat, towel, and your camera. Snorkel gear and noodle floats are provided however you can bring your own.

We depart at 10:30 from Skiathos New Harbour. The boat is moored on the corner of the harbour, near Skiathos Town bus terminal.
